The optional girl's team of Gleason's Maple Grove gym competed in the Winter Fest meet this last weekend and took two all around awards. Nina Nelson won first place all around in the 14 and under level 8 age group and Lexi Tenenbaum won the level 9 all around title. Also competing in the meet for Gleasons was Elizabeth Stubbs, level nine with a 10th place on floor; Tatianna Dtayo, 10th place on vault and 3rd place on floor. Gwen Harp, level 8, placed 7th on floor, 3rd on bars and 10th on floor; and Taylor Gullickson, level 7 placed 4th on beam and 4th on floor. |

Maple Grove's optional level girl's team took high honors in their first competition of this season at the Gopher Invitational this weekend. Taylor Gullickson, competing in level 7, placed 2nd on vault, 1st on beam and 3rd on floor. Lexi Tenenbaum placed 1st on vault, 1st on bars, 7th on beam, 5th on floor and took 3rd all around in her first level 9 meet. Elizabeth Stubbs, Also competing level 9, placed 1st on floor. Nina Nelson, Gwen Harp and Tatianna D'tayo all competed at level 8 for the first time. Gwen scored a personal high of 9.05 to take a 12th place on floor. Nina took 6th place on bars, 8th on floor and 10th all around. Tatianna placed 10th on vault, 8th on bars, 8th on beam, 2nd on floor (scoring 9.4!) and 5th place in the all around. |

St. Petersburg, Russia. Sarah Prosen of Gleasons Gypsy Flyers Trampoline & Tumbling Team and two other team mates of the United States Women's Double Mini-Tramp Team took the bronze team medal at the 26th World Championships in St. Petersburg, Russia. This was Sarah's 3rd time as a member of the US world championship double mini-tramp team. Sarah's teammate at Gleason's, Phil Svirshch competes this week in the age-group championships.. Congratulations Sarah, and good luck Phil! |

TheTumblemonster Stunt Team, part of Gleason's Xtreme Program, traveled to Traxler's Hunting Preserve in Le Center, Minnesota to provide stunts and action sequences for 185 Media/Traxler's upcoming feature film "Souvenirs".
The Stunt Team performed squib hits, falls, and two amazing explosion stunts!

Gleason's Eagan's level 5 and 6 girls competed at Great Northern Gymnastics over the past weekend at the first state qualifier. In order to compete at the state meet the girls need to receive at least an all around score of 32 at one or more of the three qualifying meets. The girls did very well and received numerous awards.
Level 6
Tarra Willox got 16th on Vault, 20th on the Uneven Bars, 11th on Balance Beam, 15th on Floor and 15th in the All Around.
Talia Whitmore received 19th on Vault, 17th on the Uneven Bars, 17th on the Balance Beam, 20th on Vault and 20th in the All Around.
Serra Hodgeman recieved 11th on Vault and 14th on Floor.
Morgan Johnson got 19th on Vault.
Malee Xiong received 3rd on Vault, 7th on the Uneven Bars, 2nd on Balance Beam, 10th on Floor and 5th in the All Around.
Aspen Schempp got 8th on Vault, 5th on Uneven Bars, 5th on Balance Beam, 7th on Floor and 7th in the All Around.
Congratulations to the girls who qualified for state: Aspen Schrempp, Malee Xiong, Tarra Willox, Talia Whitmore and Sara Roggenbuck!!!

Gleason's Eagan's compulsory teams competed at their first meets of the season over the past two weekends. The level 5 and 6 teams competed at the Season Premier held by Great Northern Gymnastics and the level 4 team competed at Flips Fall Hoe Down held by Flips Gymnastics. All the girls performed very well and the coaching staff has high hopes for them in the upcoming season!!!! Many of the girls also received numerous awards for their performance.
The level 6 team took 4th place overall with a score of 100.75.
The level 5 team took 6th place overall with a score of 90.05.
The level 4 team took 5th place overall with a score of 94.25.
A special congratulations goes to Jalia Anderson who received 1st place on Vault and 2nd on the Uneven Bars. Way to go Jalia!!!.
Aspen Schrempp recieved 5th on Vault, 7th on the Uneven Bars, 15th on the Balance Beam and 9th in the All Around.
Malee Xiong took 15th on Vault, 19th on Balance Beam and 12th in the All Around.
Talia Whitmore took 16th on Vault, 19th on the Uneven Bars, 10th on Floor and 15th in the All Around.
Serra Hodgeman recieved 14th on Vault, 17th on Balance Beam, 7th on Floor and 19th in the All Around.
Tarra Willox took 15th on the Uneven Bars, and 18th on Floor.

Sarah Prosen and Phil Svirshch were selected to represent the US at the World Trampoline and Tumbling Championships in St. Petersburg, Russia this November. Sarah will be competing on the Senior Elite team and Phil will be competing in the 13-14 year age-group competition. Rob Grindeland, also a member of Gleason's advanced team, placed 6th in tumbling at the team trials meet that was held in Las Vegas this last weekend. During the competition, Rob sucessfully competed a full twisting double back for his first time. |
