As in the Boys 5-6 classes, these students will be introduced to the basics of gymnastics in all six events of men’s gymnastics: Floor Exercise, Pommel Horse, Still Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars, and Horizontal Bar. The trampoline is also used for learning and fun in this level. Rolls, handstands, and cartwheels are the basics taught in the tumbling section, while hanging, supporting, traveling, and proper landing techniques are the basic themes on all of the apparatus. The only difference is the age grouping and maturity level of the boys.

In the Advanced Boys classes the students will continue training on all of the events and the trampoline. At this level, the back handspring is developed along with mastery of the handstand and cartwheel. Basic skills are also taught on the apparatus, including an emphasis on strength and flexibility. Some boys at this level are eligible to join our competitive team program. Ask the office if you have any questions regarding the team program.
