GIRLS BEGINNING A
Ages 5-7, 60 minutes 1x week
Students need to be 5 years old by Sept. 1st to enroll in this class. Girls Beginning A is our introductory class for girls that have never taken gymnastics before. During tumbling, students will focus on forward rolls, bridges, handstand and cartwheel progressions. On Bars students will be introduced to different hand grips (over, under & mixed), beginning support and suspension positions. On Trampoline correct bouncing, stopping, seat drops and jumps in different positions (tuck, straddle & pike) are taught.

GIRLS BEGINNING 1
Ages 8+, 90minutes 1x week
In this level forward rolls, backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, basic jumps and locomotor skills are taught on tumbling. On trampoline, correct bouncing and stopping, seat drops, front drops, back drops, jumps in different positions (Tuck, Straddle & Pike) and half and full turns are taught. On bars, students will learn beginning support and suspension positions, the different hands grips that are used (Over, Under & Mixed), and some beginning mounts and dismounts as well as correct landing technique.
GIRLS BEGINNING B
MUST PASS GIRLS BEGINNING A or BE EVALUATED BY GLEASON'S STAFF
Ages 5-7, 60 minutes 1x week

GIRLS BEGINNING C
MUST PASS GIRLS BEGINNING B or BE EVALUATED BY GLEASON'S STAFF
Ages 5-7, 60 minutes 1x week
Development of control and strength in the handstand position, power and technique in cartwheels, dive rolls, development of flexibility needed for tumbling, and introduction of front and back handsprings are emphasized. On bars, students will be introduced to the beginning swing movements, Casts, glides, and technique for developing rotational momentum. On trampoline, the basic drops (Front & Back) are refined and put into combinations. Half and full twists to all of the basic skill fundamentals.
GIRLS INTERMEDIATE
MUST PASS GIRLS BEGINNING C or BE EVALUATED BY GLEASON'S STAFF
Ages: 6+, 90 minutes 1x week
Learning front and back handsprings is the main focus of the Intermediate Level. Headsprings and running dive rolls are also taught during tumbling. On bars, students are taught front and back hip circles, stride circles, and mini-routines. On trampoline, back handsprings and front somersaults are introduced. Basic skills are refined and put into developmental routines.
GIRLS BEGINNING 2
MUST PASS GIRLS BEGINNING 1 or BE EVALUATED BY GLEASON'S STAFF
Ages 8+, 90 minutes 1x week

Refinement of back and front handsprings and connecting them in developmental series is the main focus of tumbling at this level. Front somersaults are introduced as well as aerial cartwheels. On trampoline, development of somersaults is most emphasized. On bars, students begin to learn kips, swings for advanced dismounts, and continue to build on the previously learned routines.
